Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 2026 • Effective Date: October 2026

At NBKB Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”), we value your trust and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you visit our website (https://nbkblabs.com) or purchase and use our WooCommerce software and add-ons.

Core Principle: We build lean, high-performance software. We never sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers. We collect only the minimum information necessary to deliver software licenses, updates, and customer support.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following contexts:

  • License Purchases & Orders: When you purchase our commercial plugins (e.g. NBKB B2B Wholesale Pro), transactions are processed through our merchant partner and licensing engine, Freemius Inc. (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). Freemius collects your name, billing email, country, VAT/Tax ID (if applicable), and payment details. NBKB Labs never stores or has access to your full credit card numbers or financial account credentials.
  • Support Inquiries & Tickets: When you submit a support request or presale inquiry via our support form (#support) or email, we collect your name, email address, query topic, and any diagnostic information (e.g. WooCommerce/WordPress version) you provide.
  • Software License Verification & Telemetry: To deliver automatic security updates, feature patches, and activate licenses, our software connects securely with Freemius servers. This communication transmits standard, non-sensitive diagnostic data including your license key, site URL, active plugin version, and core WordPress/WooCommerce version numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data strictly for the following legitimate business purposes:

  • To authenticate software licenses and deliver 1-click in-dashboard updates.
  • To respond directly to your technical support tickets, feature suggestions, and inquiries.
  • To fulfill purchase receipts, invoices, and license renewal notices via Freemius.
  • To prevent software piracy, unauthorized license distribution, and fraudulent abuse.
  • To maintain store performance, security, and uptime.

3. Payment Processing & Third-Party Services

Our software checkout and license management are powered by Freemius Inc. When purchasing, you enter into a transaction with Freemius as our merchant of record. Freemius handles payment security, EU VAT compliance, and PCI-compliant processing. You can review their privacy disclosures at Freemius Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We maintain a minimal cookie policy. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Minimal essential cookies or local storage tokens may be used to:

  • Remember checkout session state during active purchase flows.
  • Ensure CSRF security and prevent spam submissions on support forms.

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain support ticket correspondence only as long as necessary to provide ongoing customer service and maintain reference history for recurring store issues. We enforce industry-standard security safeguards, including TLS/HTTPS encryption, strict capability verification, and cryptographic nonces across all web endpoints.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & Global Compliance)

Regardless of your geographic location, you enjoy full control over your personal information:

  • Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete details.
  • Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You may request that we purge your support records and personal details, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, simply email our data controller at support@nbkblabs.com. We respond to verified data requests within 30 calendar days.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect improvements in our plugins or changes in regulatory requirements. When updates occur, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document will be revised accordingly.
